Pressure Vessel Design and Development
Carbon fiber reinforced materials used for the design and development of pressure vessel solutions for the maritime/deep sea exploration, aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas industries. Resulting pressure vessels are lighter and more geometrically efficient than conventional containers for use in extreme environments.
Land Vehicle Components
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer. Suspension Spring. Design and development for different load requirements for a variety of land vehicles. Tailor design to meet load requirement. This offers a 70% reduction in coil spring weight.
Level 3+ Ballistic tolerant materials. Polymer based solution to replace the heavier more cumbersome stainless steel alloy options on the market. Design and development of these lighter weight solutions.
Sense and Avoid Solutions
Autonomous vehicle embedded sensors and multi-functional materials solutions. Designed and developed a lightweight propulsion system to enable unmanned aerial systems to more ably sense and avoid aerial hazards. The resulting propulsion system expanded the flight time and enhanced the endurance, usability and survivability of our clients’ aerial vehicles. Contact Global Metallix for additional details to meet your customized requirements.
Joining Dissimilar Materials
Many of our projects require the joining of very dissimilar materials, for example, the development of vessels for the shipping and aeronautics industries. On numerous occasions, our consultants have studied the characteristics of the adjoining structures and weld interface and recommended the most viable solution, whether impact welding, explosive welding or friction stir welding. Our clients are in the private industry and government.
Customized Solutions
Global Metallix offers customized solutions from small batch to bulk orders. Contact for details.
Monolithic Optics
Primary Mirror Development
Our consultants were involved in the design, development, forming and polishing process for a number of segmented and monolithic optical systems. Projects include the James Webb Space Telescope, large binocular telescope and the airborne laser.
